{"id":74,"date":"2013-11-25T22:53:55","date_gmt":"2013-11-25T22:53:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.coolsociology.net\/SOAN324WP\/?page_id=74"},"modified":"2024-04-07T23:39:11","modified_gmt":"2024-04-07T23:39:11","slug":"take-home-exam","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.mcguire-spickard.com\/SOAN324WP\/?page_id=74","title":{"rendered":"Take-Home Exam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Exam questions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">We will develop the exam questions collectively during class <em>(see\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/mcguire-spickard.com\/SOAN324WP\/?page_id=27\">course schedule<\/a>\u00a0for the exact day)<\/em>; that session will focus on the topic: &#8220;What should we know?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">You will bring draft questions to that session, whose depth will form part of your grade.\u00a0 The exam will be as comprehensive as we collectively think is appropriate. \u00a0(You get a vote, but I do, too.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exam Date &amp; Time:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The Take-Home Exam will be due at the end\u00a0of the regularly scheduled exam time.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll find that on the\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/mcguire-spickard.com\/SOAN324WP\/?page_id=27\">course schedule<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Turn in your work on Moodle.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Exam Guidelines:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"module-103864\">The Exam with be Take-Home.\u00a0 You may consult with each other, but do your own writing and cite your sources.\u00a0 I&#8217;m as interested in how you think as I am in what you think (though you need to get your facts right).\u00a0 The exam should help you pull your knowledge together.\u00a0 Assuming you&#8217;ve been keeping up with class, that should be a breeze.<\/li>\n<li>I suggest that you use the &#8220;Unessay&#8221; format to answer your questions.
